A normal person who wants to help other normal people.
Hello!
My name is Ellie and I am a L3 certified personal trainer.
My love of fitness started early, as a competitive national artistic roller skater from the age of 5-18. I skated all over the world, and learned the importance of health and fitness from a young age…
And then I forgot it all when I went to university and partied like a maniac multiple times a week. I got no sleep, did no exercise and ate a largely chicken-nugget based diet. When I wasn’t going out, I was studying media production and I earned myself a first class honours (woo!)
Cut to my graduation, where I landed a great full time job in social media fresh out of uni. I spent the next few years working HARD. I worked at multiple companies working long hours with limited time (and motivation) to properly take care of myself.
When the pandemic hit, my long hours and poor mental health led me to one of the lowest points in my life. My takeaway-heavy diet, lack of confidence (in my mind and body) and absence of any kind of movement had me feeling ROUGH and I pushed myself to make a huge change.
I enlisted the help of a fabulous friend and personal trainer (@sophiewhitePT if you’re in the Bournemouth area, she’s a legend) who trained me online and supported me through my journey from a life of no exercise at all, to an improved diet, better overall strength and fitness, and a genuine love for movement.
Over time my passion developed as I got more and more active, was regularly helping friends in the gym and discovering new, fun ways to keep fit. I picked up indoor bouldering, boxing, hiking, running, functional movement and more regular resistance training - none of which felt like I was doing exercise, it was all just FUN. I found ways to fit it all in around work and my busy social life and eventually got to a place of balance, where nothing felt compromised. My mental health is now absolutely stunning.
And that is what I want to share with other people - the idea that you can absolutely have it all! So many people in the fitness industry will make you feel bad for not going to the gym everyday or for eating a pizza every now and then. I consider myself to be a totally normal person - I had a normal job, normal responsibilities, normal wants and desires, and a normal passion for the pub. I found a way to take care of myself while still prioritising all the things I love, and you can too.
I pride my training on being fun, friendly, accessible and sustainable. Nothing intimidating, fully realistic for you and 100% non-judgemental. Fitness is fun and it’s for everyone. Let me help you fall in love with it too!
